My trip to St. Lucia, March 2020
I admit it...I'm in LOVE with St. Lucia!!!!
I had the chance to travel to this wonderful island in early March of 2020. (My best friend, Camie, was all too willing to accompany me!!!) While there, we checked out all three of the wonderful SANDALS resorts on the island. Read on!

We flew into Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) which is located on the southern end of the island and serves primarily international flights. Flying from Jackson, MS, we had to make a change in Atlanta, then a 4 hour flight to the island. Once at the airport we found our way to the Sandals welcome desk. Our luggage was taken and we were escorted into the SANDALS waiting lounge. Since we had not opted to purchase a private transfer, we waited about 40 minutes for the next shuttle to our resort. Then the journey was nearly two hours! This was fine for us but I would recommend that honeymooners splurge for the private arrival transfer! You will be so happy you did! (Be sure to read to the end of this article to find out how we decided to transfer back to the airport. Hee Hee!!!)
Sandals GrandeWhat a place!!! This was my favorite of the three resorts we visited. Stayed for three nights....not long enough! Incredible beach and water, gorgeous landscaping, fabulous rooms, delectible restaurants! We stayed in a CLUB level Honeymoon luxury walkout. Loved having the patio! Club Level rooms give you extra perks! The beach at the Grande is gorgeous! Check it out below! |
Right next door to the resort is a park with 200 year old ruins and a mini-mountain! Hike up for a great workout and incredible views!
Sandals Regency La Toc
Sandals Regency La Toc was our home for the first two nights of our trip. WOW!!! An absolutely beautiful resort! This property is set on a multi-level terrain. You can walk everywhere, but there is also a convenient shuttle if you're feeling a bit lazy. We were in the CLUB level Honeymoon Luxury garden room. I highly recommend the CLUB level as you get perks such as access to the Club level lounge and concierge service.
Sandals Regency La Toc is a magnificent 220-acre estate set on a half-mile, crescent-shaped beach, cradling exotic coral bluffs, lush hillsides and rolling fairways. Featuring a challenging executive-style golf course, stunning oceanfront suites and the private enclave of the Sunset Bluff Village. The PITONS restaurant was the best of our stay on the island!!!!

Sandals Halcyon
So they say this is the "garden of Eden" and I can believe it! We stopped here on a day visit enroute between La Toc and the Grande. We absolutely LOVED this resort! The grounds are lush and the incredible lazy river pool is DIVINE! Very easy to get around this resort!
Experience the all-new Beachfront Honeymoon Butler Suites with private deck and plunge pool or indulge in gourmet dining at six specialty restaurants. We had dinner while watching the sunset at Kelly's Dockside overwater restaurant. YUM!!!

Activities and Excursions
I tried paddle boarding for the first time! (Free at Sandals) I got the hang of it...sort of...Ha!
We also took a fabulous snorkel cruise...sailed all the way around the island to the Pitons! That was really incredible. The sunset was stunning as we sailed home.
